We, at Bemidji State University, always knew he was an explosive talent. His time,with us, gave me the opportunity to motivate an individual with profound expressionist ability. One incident, in Doug’s life, pushed him beyond any student I have ever taught, I cannot reveal what I witnessed without Doug’s permission. I will say that it involved a phone call received in my office. Doug is a dear person,sensitive, mostly self taught and holds my sincere admiration. I continue to follow his work via computer as I cannot do much traveling and am still amazed at his work ethic!
